FTA Follow Scrambled Channels

Sorry I lost page for my last posted question. It's about scrambled channels. I think I get the channels through Globecast. and the receiver is Sonicview HD8000.
According to the reply I got there is nothing I can do to fix the problem. What about the keys posted in this place, how do they work? And how do I input these numbers?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Sranbled Channels

The only channels you will get are on DN 110 & 119 or True FTA channels like those on 123 or 97.

What are the keys for? I thought they will help me if I enter them (numbers) into the receiver to remove the codes that blocked the channels.

Re: Srambled Channels

You could try to manually enter keys.

You can find the latest keys here, generally, for GC

To do that, you will have to find the code menu in your receiver.

Be aware keys are 16 pairs of hexidecimal numbers, on two lines, so 8 pairs per line. And you have to enter them in exactly the right place. If you were fooling around in there already, let me know, you may have accidentally changed one of the numbers that you shouldn't have. Then I will have to get a file up for you for this to fix it. I forget which line index identifiers are in the Sonicview code menus for GC. They might start as 86 and 96 or something like that. All receivers seem to label the key lines differently, due to the way each receiver's databases work. The best way to look at those areas is to count the pairs of keys to enter, 8 pairs per line, and they usually fit in one place to the right and down. So, I would manually enter them from the bottom line up. Once you look at it, you will probably see what I mean.

I will include a sticky link for you on this.

Re: Srambled Channels

Here is a quiick guide I put up --> http://www.aaafta.com/forum/sonicvie...elp-guide.html

You will be looking to change the C1 01 00 keys for the GlobeCast provider instead of the Dish provider

I C/P that guide and kept it in the Dish provider format for more general instructions

BTW to find your old posts, click your name, and select Find More Posts by ...
Now if you save that link to your favorites, you will always be able to find your posts.

Hope This All Helps !!

Re: Srambled Channels

Thanks so much I have done that. Do I need to re-boost the receiver for it ro takes effect? or is it because of the new encryption N3? What should I do next?

Once you enter those keys then hit Exit.It will ask you if you want to save, select YES.

If some of the channel is still not working then those channel are N3.

Re: Srambled Channels

I think all the channels are on N3 because all the channels are still having the $ sign and I can't watched them yet. Or what will happen if the keys are entered will the $ sign goes away or not? Or I should wait till N3 issue is resolved.
Thanks so much you are of great help.

There are lots of channels not on N3. Some PPV, especially adult, have gone, but On Demand and all the premiums are still there. Are you getting both S and Q on both 119 and 110?
